Main Character Energy Isn't About Being the Center of Everyone Else's World.
It's about remembering that you are a participant in your own life.
Being the MCE doesn't mean everything revolves around you.
It means you stop living like your life is something happening to you while everybody else gets to make the decisions.
You get a say.
You get to question the script.
You get to change your mind.
You get to set boundaries.
You get to make choices that don't make sense to everybody else.
You get to decide what matters to you.
You get to enjoy your life.
And you get to take responsibility for the life you're building.
You are not the contestant.
You are the chooser.

Meet Tara & Shayla
Two Women. A Whole Lot of Life. And a LOT to Talk About.
MCE started with two friends who realized they had spent a whole lot of life doing what so many of us do:
Being the good daughter.
The dependable friend.
The responsible employee.
The caregiver.
The peacemaker.
The person everybody could count on.
And somewhere along the way, we realized something:
We had gotten really good at showing up for everybody else...and sometimes forgot to show up for ourselves.
Tara and Shayla don't approach life from the same exact place, and that's part of what makes the conversation work.
Sometimes one of us is telling the story.
Sometimes the other is asking the question.
Sometimes we're challenging each other.
Sometimes we're sitting there saying, "Girl...be fucking for real." 😂
And sometimes we're discovering the answer right alongside you.
We're not here to tell you how to live your life.
We're here to have the conversation.
MCE Isn't the Answer. It's the Mirror.
We don't believe there's one perfect way to live a life.
We don't believe healing happens in a straight line.
We don't believe choosing yourself means you stop caring about everyone else.
And we definitely don't believe you have to become some completely different person to create a life you actually enjoy living…
We believe in honesty over performance.
Self-awareness over perfection.
Intentionality over autopilot.
Accountability without shame.
Growth without pretending you're finished.
And maybe most importantly:
We believe you are allowed to participate in your own life.
That's why MCE isn't about telling you what you should do.
We'll tell you what happened to us. We'll tell you what we're learning.
We'll ask questions. We'll challenge assumptions. We'll laugh at ourselves.
And sometimes we'll give you an assignment. Because listening is only the beginning.
LISTEN → REFLECT → DO → GROW
That's the MCE philosophy.
You don't have to have it all figured out.
